Some of you may remember the early days… No signage, one guy working days, two working nights and just two kinds of beer.
It didn’t take long before our tasting room and beer options started to evolve. Snacks, seasonals, sandwiches, signage, open earlier, open later. It was only a matter of months before we decided it was necessary to add a brunch menu. The idea of specifically putting waffles on took a little convincing, but with persistence, the weekends came and with a very small tag-team to start, we jumped.
Not just any waffles, b33r waffles.
They’ve been a hit ever since, with beer in every batch and a different flavour and complimentary whipped butter, every week. All-time favourites include earl grey and vanilla bean, rosemary and salted butter, and rhubarb crisp. Our kitchen team has had a little fun as of late, experimenting and creating a plethora of new offerings, some satisfying a more savoury palette.
Most recently a chive waffle with a pale ale bacon butter made the menu, and the week after that a blueberry mint combo. Stay tuned for the flavour this weekend—sometimes we announce it early, but often enough its a bit of a surprise.
